Workshops for 11 - 14 year olds
A voyage for aspiring artists through hands, hearts and minds!
You will experiment with illustration, assemblage and photography, and explore the styles and concepts of various contemporary artists such as Grayson Perry and Joseph Cornell. The project encourages the building of skills, whilst addressing the thought processes needed to make artwork that is both aesthetic and personal.
This workshop can be completed using materials that students should generally have at home - indeed it celebrates the exploration of the basic and everyday, and how these can be transformed into meaningful artwork. However, options with more specialist processes (such as DSLR cameras or chalk) are presented as options if students have access to or are able to buy them.
